What Makes an Offer Letter Hold Up
The clauses that matter most are the ones candidates skim past: the probation period, what happens if either side backs out before the joining date, and how long the offer stays valid. Leave any of them vague and you’re relying on a verbal conversation nobody wrote down. State them plainly instead — a number of months, a number of days, a named role — and there’s nothing left to argue about later.
CTC deserves the same treatment. Quoting one number without a breakup is common at the offer stage, since the detailed split usually comes later in the appointment letter — but the number itself should be unambiguous: annual, not monthly, and clearly the figure before statutory deductions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this offer letter generator free?
Yes, no signup and no limit on how many offer letters you generate. It runs entirely in your browser.
Is the generated offer letter legally binding?
The wording is a general-purpose template, not legal advice. Employment law and standard clauses vary by state and industry, so have HR or legal counsel review it before sending, especially the probation and termination language.
What's the difference between this and an appointment letter?
An offer letter is sent before a candidate accepts — it proposes the role, CTC, and joining date and asks for a signature. An appointment letter is issued after acceptance and formally confirms the terms, usually with a detailed salary breakup. EzNxT also has a dedicated appointment letter generator for that step.
Does it save the offer letters I create?
No. Everything you type stays in your browser for this session only. Print or save as PDF before closing the tab.
Can I change the probation period or offer validity window?
Yes. Both fields are editable — the letter text updates automatically to match whatever probation length and validity period you enter.
