ATS (Applicant Tracking System)

Software that automates the hiring process by managing job postings, collecting applications, tracking candidates through the recruitment pipeline, and scheduling interviews. ATS systems help companies find and hire the right people faster.

Asset Management Software

Software that tracks an organization's physical and digital assets — including computers, vehicles, machinery, furniture, and software licenses. It manages the full asset lifecycle from acquisition through disposal, tracking location, assigned user, maintenance history, and depreciation value.

Related: Asset Tracker, Depreciation, Fixed Assets

Bulk Email Marketing

Sending large volumes of promotional or transactional emails to a list of subscribers simultaneously. Bulk email marketing software manages contact lists, email templates, campaign scheduling, delivery optimization, and performance analytics (open rates, clicks, bounces).

CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

Software that manages a company's interactions with existing and potential customers. A CRM stores contact information, tracks sales activities, manages the sales pipeline, and helps teams close more deals through better organization and automation.

Depreciation

The reduction in value of a business asset over time due to wear and use. In accounting and asset management, depreciation is calculated using methods like straight-line (equal annual reduction) or reducing balance (percentage of remaining value). EzNxt automatically calculates and records asset depreciation.

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

An integrated software system that manages core business processes — including finance, HR, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations — in one unified platform. ERP systems are typically large-scale tools for mid-to-enterprise businesses. For small businesses, an all-in-one platform like EzNxt serves a similar purpose at much lower cost.

GST (Goods and Services Tax)

A value-added tax levied on goods and services in India. Indian businesses must comply with GST regulations by filing regular returns and issuing GST-compliant invoices. EzNxt Accounting is built with full GST compliance including GSTR report generation.

HRM (Human Resource Management)

The practice and discipline of managing people within an organization — including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, and employee relations. HRM is the practice; HRMS is the software that supports it.

HRMS (Human Resource Management System)

Software that manages all HR functions including employee records, attendance tracking, leave management, payroll processing, performance reviews, and recruitment. An HRMS replaces manual spreadsheets and paper processes with digital automation.

Helpdesk Software

A platform that manages customer support requests (called tickets). It converts incoming queries (from email, web forms, or chat) into trackable tickets, assigns them to agents, tracks response times, and provides analytics on support performance.

Related: Ticketing System, SLA, Customer Service

Kanban Board

A visual project management method that organizes tasks into columns representing different stages of progress (typically: To Do, In Progress, Done). Teams move task cards between columns as work advances, giving a clear view of work in progress.

Lead Management

The process of capturing, tracking, qualifying, and nurturing potential customers (leads) until they become paying customers. Lead management is a core function of CRM software.

Multi-tenancy

A software architecture where a single instance of an application serves multiple organizations (tenants) simultaneously, with each tenant's data kept completely separate and secure. Most modern SaaS platforms use multi-tenancy.

Payroll Software

Software that automates the calculation and processing of employee salaries, wages, deductions, taxes, and payslip generation. Payroll software ensures accurate and compliant salary payments and is typically a module within HRMS.

Project Management Software

Software that helps teams plan, organize, execute, and track projects. Key features include task assignment, deadlines, progress tracking (Gantt charts, Kanban boards), team collaboration, file sharing, and time tracking. Examples: EzNxt Projects, Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp.

SLA (Service Level Agreement)

A defined commitment between a service provider and customer specifying expected service standards — such as response time and resolution time for support tickets. In helpdesk software, SLAs are used to ensure customer queries are addressed within agreed timeframes.

Related: Helpdesk, Customer Service

SaaS (Software as a Service)

A software delivery model where applications are hosted in the cloud and accessed via a web browser, rather than installed locally on computers. SaaS users pay a subscription (monthly or annual) instead of a one-time license. Examples: EzNxt, Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce.

Related: Cloud Software, Subscription Software

Sales Pipeline

A visual representation of where prospective customers (leads) are in the sales process — from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and closing. CRM software typically displays the sales pipeline as a Kanban-style board with deal stages.
